About the Paralives Skill Upgrade Calculator on this wiki

The Paralives Skill Upgrade Calculator on this fan wiki estimates skill XP from level A to B, stacks Early Access learning bonuses, and converts practice hours into real-life time using your Storyteller pace. Use it when planning Knowledge trees, career useful-skills, or long grinds to max level.

How the Paralives Skill Upgrade Calculator works

Pick any enabled skill from the grid, set a from/to level range, and toggle modifiers that match your Parafolk's mood, traits, group practice aura, and current job. The Paralives Skill Upgrade Calculator sums per-level XP from the same curve shown on the skills database, divides by effective XP per hour, and optionally translates hours through your selected Storyteller.

  • Skill XP curve & slow mode

Level 1→2 needs 10 XP in Early Access; each step adds 8 more. Slow mode applies when multiple Knowledge skills level at once — about 2 XP per in-game hour before bonuses.

  • Career useful skills & sub-skill feed

Mark a skill as useful for your job to apply the career-useful base rate and unlock work story-card bonuses. Sub-skills under a Knowledge parent also gain XP from parent Knowledge level via the default 25% feed.

  • Storyteller pace & real-life time

After in-game practice hours are calculated, pick Maxons, Ricardo, Stella, or another Storyteller to convert minutes-per-real-second into a real-life duration estimate for your grind plan.

How to use the Paralives Skill Upgrade Calculator

Step 1: Pick a skill icon from the grid (Knowledge, sub-skill, or standalone).

Step 2: Set your From and To levels. The calculator totals all XP steps between them.

Step 3: Toggle learning bonuses (mood/trait/group/career) to match your save, then read the in-game hours and real-life estimate.

Paralives Skill Upgrade Calculator FAQ

  • Does the Paralives Skill Upgrade Calculator include perks and town events?

No. It models Early Access base rates plus the listed mood/trait/group/career toggles. Perks, object quality, town events, and patches can change effective XP — treat results as an estimate.

  • Why does “slow mode” change the XP/hour rate?

Early Access applies a slower base rate when multiple Knowledge skills level at once. Slow mode approximates that baseline before bonuses, then stacks your selected modifiers.

  • What’s the difference between Knowledge and sub-skills?

Knowledge skills are the parent categories (e.g. Music). Sub-skills (e.g. Piano) level independently and also feed the parent Knowledge meter by default.

Per-level XP steps and learning rates mirror Skills.setting from Early Access. Perks, object quality, town events, and future patches may shift values — confirm in your own save after updates.
