Stages are ordered by StartAge in LifeStages.setting. Duration uses in-game minutes (1,440 minutes ≈ one sim day at Normal lifespan).



Child
Starts at age 5~12 sim days (17280 min at Normal lifespan)

What changes each stage
Early years focus on caregiver needs; childhood adds school and personality levels; teens unlock romance and deeper Wants.
Baby & toddler
No town Wants, NPCs not loaded, Together cards ignored — alternate hunger, sleep, and hygiene needs apply (see needs reference).
Child through teen
Mandatory school, growth spurts, and rising personality caps. Teens are romance-appropriate and required to finish character creation.
Adult & elder
Young adult, adult, and elder stages share deeper romance pools and max personality level 20 in current data.
