About the Paralives career planner

Compare multiple careers on a single weekly overlay: see shift windows, estimated weekly pay, and useful-skill XP from work — plus conflict checks that mirror in-game scheduling rules.

How to use the career planner

Use this tool to test one-career and dual-career plans before committing to a schedule in game.

  • Step 1 — Add careers

Search by role or company, then add careers to the left panel. The planner includes careers with extractable default schedule data.

  • Step 2 — Review schedule and conflicts

The weekly overlay paints occupied blocks by day. Overlaps are marked in red and listed below the calendar.

  • Step 3 — Compare pay and skill XP

Use rank, weekly pay, and useful-skill XP totals to compare combinations before selecting a final path.

How calculations work

The planner mirrors game-like rules for overlap checks and uses extracted data to estimate weekly outcomes.

FAQ

Quick answers to the most common planning questions.

  • Why do some careers not appear?

Only careers with extracted default schedules are shown, because conflict checks need concrete day and hour windows.

  • Why can two careers still conflict after selection?

Some jobs share overlapping shift windows on the same day, so they cannot be combined under in-game schedule rules.

  • How are pay and useful-skill XP estimated?

Weekly pay uses base pay per day plus rank bonus bands. Useful-skill XP follows Early Access work-learning rates (slow practice plus career-useful bonus).

How this page fits Paralives Wiki

Pair this planner with the careers database for role details, the skills database for training paths, and life stages for school-age constraints.

The planner shows the default extracted shift slot for each job. Multi-shift careers may offer alternate windows that are not reflected in this default view.
